The inaugural flight, which took off at 8:30 a.m., carried 172 farmers and workers, many of whom had contributed land and support to the development of the airport project. Their participation in the maiden journey was seen as a gesture of recognition and appreciation for their role in making the ambitious infrastructure project a reality.

Farmers to Meet Chief Minister in Lucknow

Upon arrival in Lucknow, the farmers and workers are scheduled to meet Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The interaction is expected to provide a platform for direct dialogue between the government and the farming community, fostering greater public participation in the state’s development initiatives.

Officials described the event as an opportunity to strengthen communication between policymakers and grassroots stakeholders while acknowledging the contributions of local communities to major development projects.

Recognition of Local Contributions

The development of Noida International Airport has involved significant cooperation from local farmers and labourers. By inviting them aboard the inaugural commercial flight, authorities sought to honor their contribution and highlight the importance of community participation in large-scale infrastructure projects.

The initiative has been widely viewed as a symbolic gesture reflecting the government’s commitment to inclusive development and stakeholder engagement.

Regular Operations to Begin from July 1

Regular commercial flight operations from the airport are scheduled to commence on July 1. The launch is expected to provide passengers with improved connectivity between Noida and several major cities, reducing travel time and enhancing transportation options across the region.

The airport is also anticipated to boost economic activity, attract investment, and strengthen the state’s position as a growing aviation hub.

IndiGo to Operate Direct Service

Direct air services between Noida and Lucknow will be operated by IndiGo. The airline’s operations are expected to offer passengers a faster, more convenient travel experience while supporting business, tourism, and regional connectivity.
